Our History

In 1981, John Katzman, founder of The Princeton Review, for the first time ever, trained 15 high school students for the SAT. The intensive six-week course offered a systematic approach to the exam with the sole purpose of raising the kids’ scores.
From then on, and after all the years of research, practice, and preparation invested into the TPR project has let our students obtain the best results alter every course, allowing the consolidation of The Princeton Review Inc. since 2001, when the company went public in the American Stock Exchange Market through NASDAQ under the symbol “REVU”.

As of today, The Princeton Review has more than 5000 instructors and tutors in the United States, Canada, and international franchised offices, such as the one located in Mexico City.
